Summer Activities
The Island
The association maintains the island for public use during all four seasons. Projects include maintenance of the land, an outhouse, two fire pits and steps providing access to the island. The island is owned by the association having been a gift from Nanette Reed, Craig Starbird, and doctor Marjorie White. It remains in the condition it was in at the time of the land transfer.
Beanies Beach
Beanies Beach, aka The Strong Beach, has long been a favorite swimming spot for the Porter Lake community. It contains an excellent boat ramp, and hosts the annual Bean Hole Supper and Swim Program.
New Vineyard Beach
A hidden jewel! A peaceful place to recharge your battery!
Porter Lake Pontoon Raft
On August 6th 2021, a bunch of the lake’s pontoon owners and guests coordinated a raft join-up where at one time 11 boats joined up and floated from the south end of the lake down to the north end. A great time was had by all.
